About Après Ski Chalets
Our Story
Après Ski Chalets started with one small cabin at Sutherland Lake. It wasn’t a business idea at the time, it was just a project that unexpectedly turned into something meaningful. Seeing that first cabin come to life showed owner Tyler Jones how powerful a well designed space in nature could be. It created a feeling that stuck. A mix of calm, pride, and the sense that this could be the start of something bigger.
That spark eventually led to the Wentworth Valley. The area had everything that inspires a great stay. Skiing in the winter, lakes and trails in the summer, and a sense of escape that people crave but rarely find close to home. The vision grew from a single A frame to the idea of building a small collection of modern cabins.
The identity grew too. What began without a name slowly evolved into Après Ski Chalets. A brand built around warmth, simplicity, and the comfort that comes after a day of adventure.
Today, Après Ski Chalets is still very hands on. Every cabin is designed and built in-house, with care put into every detail. Each space is meant to feel special and personal - the same way that first Sutherland Lake cabin did.
As the collection expands, the purpose stays clear. Create beautiful, thoughtful places for people to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy everything that Nova Scotia has to offer.
The Stay
Après Ski Chalets is a small and growing collection of modern, Scandinavian-inspired cabins located in the Wentworth Valley of Nova Scotia. Each space is designed to feel calm, comfortable, and intentionally different from a typical short-term rental.
The Experience
The goal is simple: Create places people genuinely enjoy staying in. Whether guests are visiting for a ski weekend, a summer lake escape, or a quiet retreat in nature, each chalet is designed to encourage slowing down, reconnecting, and feeling at home.
